We were looking for a bottle to help with colic and fussiness, so this was the first type we tried. It has 5 parts per bottle. Nipple, top ring, plastic bottle, bottom vent piece, & a rubber valve that fits into the bottom.

At first we were very happy with them and it DID reduce our baby's gas and fussiness. However, washing 5 parts gets very annoying and time consuming.

After about 2 weeks about once a day the bottle would just start gushing milk out from what seemed like everywhere. We couldn't tell if it was coming from the top or bottom. I think after a few washes and wear, the parts don't all fit together as snugly and leave room for leaks. The gasket at the bottom goes over holes in the bottom piece so if it doesn't fit perfectly, it will leak. Since there are 4 bottles in the pack, you naturally think you can interchange all the pieces, but certain combinations would result in leaking - and not just a little but a huge mess!

I ended up getting the Nuk Orthodontic instead and it has worked wonderfully.

I love the bottles my son in 3months old I breastfeed for a month and we have been using them for about 2months .. They defiantly help with the spitting up and the gas. He has never sit up and he has little to almost no gas except for normal gas that babies tend to have .. The only thing that I dont like about the bottle is that all the numbering on the bottle like the oz stuff all wipes off with in a few weeks and then I had bought new ones thinking it was just that particular set and it happend again so i called Playtex and they sent out coupons for new ones and all you have to do is send back the old ones. But other than that I would recommend the bottles to anyone who is looking for a good bottle to help with gas and spit up prevent
