These bottles are huge and not practical at all for babys hands. Even 6yr olds and older would have problems handling these

These are hands down my favorite bottles. Contrary to what other people have said, I think the large shape makes them easier for baby to hold. They have a super wide mouth so you don’t dump formula on the counter while trying to get it in the bottle and they have enough room in them to make an 8 oz bottle and still have room to shake.
My only complaint is that the stupid ones I just got had pink rings on them. Luckily for my son, I have plenty of white ones from the smaller bottles left to replace them with.

These bottles are good enough in a pinch if other bottles are in dishwasher, but they are not my preferred bottle. Part of the problem is they are so wide that it’s hard for my baby to hold it herself. Also, the way they are designed makes it nearly impossible for her to get the last ounce or so of formula on her own. I have to practically hold the bottle at a 90 degree angle to get it in the nipple.

With our first child, we found Dr. Brown’s to be too complicated for family, babysitters, etc.. and neither child liked the Avent bottles. Since we had to replace all our bottles to be BPA free, this time around we tried the Soothies. So far so good! They hold up well to the dishwasher (unlike Dr. Brown’s which lost all the writing including the # of ounces) and our 4 month old is beginning to hold them on her own. So unlike the previous review, we’re not having any problems with their size. Also, we haven’t have any problems w/ gas or anything either.

These bottles are really very nice and easy to use. We’ve been shopping around for a decently priced BPA-free bottle…and we think this one is IT! The playtex ones leak and the numbers come off so you can’t measure the ounces easily (we had to put the numbers on with a sharpie–what a pain). Then we tried the nubby bottles, but our son couldn’t drink from it easily. Finally we tried these…they were a little bit wider than he was used to, but he drinks from them very well and he can hold them on his own with little problem (he’s 5 months). They’ve done very well in our dishwasher–no issues there. Overall, they’ve been a great bottle…and will hopefully be our last attempt at finding a great BPA-free bottle!
